HER 3432 DESCRIPTION:-
SouthfieldsMill, recorded in 1718. In C19 contained 2 dye-houses a teazle house, a tentering house and a gig-shop. The main buildings had been demolished by 1972 but some small C19 buildings remain.{Surce Work 862}
Onesiphorus Paul's Knapping machine was invented and installed here{Source Work 3256.}
Cloth manufacture ceased 1906{Source Work 226 and Source Work 902.}
