2005 - Gloucestershire NMP (Cotswold & Forest of Dean)
The earthwork remains of a Post Medieval pond, subdivided by a dry stone field wall is visible on aerial photographs. This pond is situated south west of Hawling at SP 0593 2256. The construction of the wall meant that the pond could serve two adjoining fields while preventing livestock from crossing to the adjacent field. {Source Work 4249.}
