Summary : Mid 17th century building erected probably by the Countess of Pembroke as a brewhouse. This lies west of the main gateway and in 1934 was used chiefly as a laundry. It was probably only of one storey and was made into two storeys at a much later period. Other later alterations are apparent but it still retains a few original 17th-century features.
