In 1840 on the West side of Borough High Street and ca. 100 yards North of St George's, flue and roof tile, Gaulish and other pottery, beads glass battle fragment, fresco paintings "of a superior kind" and coins of Tiberius Faustina I, Severus and Tetricus were found. (1)
