St. Mary's Chapel, Albion Street, Broadstairs, was built in 1601. It is now the parish room of Holy Trinity Church. (2)
St. Mary's Chapel is of knapped flint with 19th c. brick dressings; the only original features now visible are the doorway and mullioned and transomed window in the south side. A plaque states that it stands on the site of the shrine of our Lady of Bradstow. Until recently it was the parish room of Holy Trinity Church but is now in private hands and used as a store-room. No 4 Albion Street (Old St Mary's Chapel) Broadstairs. Grade II. St Mary's Chapel, dated 1601 when it was adapted for Protestant worship, was built on the site of the shrine of Our Lady of Bradstow. (For full description see list). (4)
Old St Mary's Hall in Albion Street is dated 1601, the year it was equipped for 'Protestant', ie Puritan, worship. It incorporates the flint end wall of a medieval chapel. (5)
TR 398678. Ruins and undercroft of medieval chapel incorporated in Georgian secular building, now in use as a bookshop. The chapel dedicated to Virgin Mary as our Lady of Bradstow (Broadstairs) was venerated by sailors. (6)
