Summary : In 1926, Miller Christy obseved a mound some 25 feet across and 12 feet high close to Green Hill Farm, after which the farm's name is derived. Although much overgrown and reduced to circa 4 feet high, this wa probably a botountinus, a mound used by Roman surveyors to lay out Roman road RR30. At 84.16m OD, it is the highest point in the area. |
