Summary : A bowl barrow with a mound 15 metres in diameter up to 0.5 metres in height and composed of earth and chalk. Surrounded by a ditch from which material was quarried during construction of the mound. Ditch is no longer visible but will survive as a buried feature circa 2 metres wide. The barrow was first recorded in 1959 and is situated 75 metres to the north west of the Kingston Russell stone circle, with which it is intervisible. Scheduled
More information : (SY 57768789) Tumulus (NR) (1) Bowl barrow, diameter 13 paces, height 1ft (2). A mound, possibly the remains of a barrow (3). (2-3) A grass covered, ditchless, but very spread bowl barrow. Diameter 16.0m, height 0.3m. (4) SY 5778790. Kingston Russell 15.. Bowl barrow listed, details as Authy 2. (5) Bowl barrow with a mound 15m in diameter up to 0.5m in height and composed of eart and chalk. Surrounded by a ditch from which material was quarried during construction of the mound.
