Summary : An early to mid Saxon building with an inhumation was found during excavations on the Roman settlement at Wickham market, (TM 35 NW 2). This is one of the few possible early Saxon sunken buildings to have been found in East Suffolk . It measures 4.0m x 3.0m with two post-holes. No grave goods accompanied the inhumation.
