Summary : West Acton opened on 5th November 1923 as a station on the western extension of the Central line between Ealing Broadway and East Acton; a station at North Acton was also opened at the same time. The station was of the 'halt' type, with a 300ft timber platform outside the tracks, furnished with a small shelter, and a small red brick ticket office at the road entrance.
