Summary : Three Roman centurial stones were found during conservation by Minstry of Works. Found in 1960 fallen on the north side of Hadrian's Wall 105 yds west of Turret 45a. Inscription reads - c VLPI Vo LVSIINI. Found in 1959 fallen on the south side 160 yds. west. of Turret 45a. Inscription reads - c CALEDON SECVNDI. Found in 1960 in the same sector. Inscription reads COH.III MAXIMI. These stones were deposited by MPBW in the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle upon Tyne in, or shortly before 1969. |

Approximate find-spots of (a) at NY 6730 6630, and (b & c) at NY 6725 6628 were confirmed by Ministry of Works personnel at Housesteads, where the stones are stored. (2)
These stones were deposited by MPBW in the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle upon Tyne in, or shortly before 1969. (3)
