Milestone S of Tunley Farm, on old route Painswick-Cirencester. Inscribed "VII miles (Cir)ence(ster)".{Source Work 1.} Milestone as described at given siting {Source Work 1.}{Source Work 4.}{Source Work 2.} Ancient route linking Painswick and Cirencester. Although never turnpiked. Milestones placed along its course through Bisley parish. {Source Work 6.}
The best of a series of stones on the Cirencester, Bisley, Painswick Road (closed as a through route in 1814) may date from the 1750's.
