Summary : A linear earthwork, part of the LBA/IA ditch complex centred on and to the south of Sidbury Hillfort.
More information : SU 21414893 - SU 22404850 Ditch [OE] (1) A section of a linear earthwork originally recorded by the OS as part of SU 24 NW 11, with an additional section identified from SU 21774877 to SU 22414893. This is a bivallate earthwork. Published 1:2500 survey revised. (2-3) SU 22414893 - SU 22404850 with a southern extension to SU 22254819. Part of a system of linear boundaries between Sidbury and Quarley Hillforts. (4) A linear earthwork which was included in the Wessex Linear Ditches Project, forms the eastern boundary of a territory defined to the west by SU 24 NW 147. This ditch was not excavated therefore cannot be assigned to a specific phase within the evolution of the territories south of Sidbury Hillfort. (5)
