Summary :
Canal bridge over the Trent and Mersey Canal spanning circa 20 feet with a carriage way circa 14 feet wide. It has four cast-iron girders supporting brick jack arches. Three wrought iron tie bolts take the thrust of the arches. This type of construction allows for rapid re-levelling and raising in case of subsidence. Possibly 19th century.
