| Summary : An extensive area of contiguous Medieval ridge and furrow in the parish of Stretton on Fosse has been mapped from aerial photographs by English Heritage's Gloucestershire NMP. The ridges were visible as earthworks in 1947, more than half were still extant in 1972 and about one third survived into the 1990s. The fields cover an area of about 490 hectares, and are part of a much larger extent of ridge and furrow. |
