Summary : A Roman road visible as a barely discernible mound on a straight alignment between two verifiable points.
More information : Visible as a barely discernible mound on straight alignment between two verifiable points. (1) The faint cropmark traces of a bank and ditch were seen between NY 6406 6596 and NY 6440 6594 extending E-W over a distance of c.340m, following the projected course of the Roman Stanegate. These features were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hadrian's Wall NMP project. (3)
