More information : Remains of medieval outer bailey associated with Peveril or Castleton Castle are visible as earthworks on air photographs, centred at SK 1483 8255. The feature represents remnants of the castle (UID 309632) outer bailey. It is cut by Earls road (UID 1506981), the south-west access route to the castle. The bailey is still extant on Google.Earth.com 6th September 2005 imagery (accessed on 25th January 2010). (1-2)
