The crofts, centred at SE 4622 1833 are defined by a series of ditches and scarps. Each is no more than 30m wide. The crofts are bound to the west by the Doncaster to Tadcaster Roman Road Linear 550 and to the east by the hollow way.
The broad and deep hollow way is centred at SE 4630 1830 and is flanked to the west and south by larger fields. Medieval or post-medieval ridge and furrow is visible within some of these land parcels (SE 41 NE XXXX). (1)
