Summary : Site of collegiate hospital extant 1408-1548.
More information : A collegiate hospital, dedicated to St Mary the Virgin, was founded at Staindrop in 1408 and dissolved in 1548. (1)

The college stood near Langley Beck, to the north of Staindrop Church (presumably the present St Mary's at NZ 13102064, which 'AS Arch 2 1965 564-6 H and J Taylor' claims incorporates the remains of an Anglo-Saxon church), which was appropriated to the college in 1412.
