Summary : A World War Two concrete trench system, known as a seagull trench, situated at Catfoss Airfield. This type of trench took the form of a flattened letter "W" shape, resembling the shape of a seagull's wings. It had a concrete flat roof which would have been covered with turf. The trench was built in 1940-1941. It was said to be extant and in fair condition in 1999.
