More information : Area centred: TA 17531507. Deserted mediaeval village, Immingham. Earthworks visible on APs(2) (1-2) Extensive earthworks of this village surveyed at 1/2500. (3) A new golf course is being constructed adjacent to and incorporating these earthworks; the landscaping has caused some mutilation to the original features but on the whole the site has been carefully preserved although the course has not yet been completed. The architect is aware of the village and its historical background. Revised at 1/2500 on field document. (4) TA 173149 - TA 178153. Part of Immingham Shrunken Medieval Village north of St Andrew's Church. Earthworks - house platforms, toft boundaries, trackways - extend into fields around Churchfield House, covering an area up to 10ha. Large adjoining areas of ridge and furrow. (See also TA 11 NE 9).
