More information : (TA 1200 4770) Air raid shelter.

This `Stanton' air raid shelter is positioned in a field to the north
of Brandesburton, west of Catfoss Airfield. It is a semi-sunken
structure aligned east west and built from concrete parabolic
sections. The building has brick built end walls and a brick blast
wall, there is a square concrete ventilator at the closed end. The
whole structure is earth covered to both protect it from blast
damage and to provide some measure of camouflage. When the site was
surveyed by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 it was in good
condition and at little risk. (1)
