Barrow A1: SU 22745142, Collingbourne Ducis 8a, a large ploughed barrow overlapped by a smaller one (Monument UID 926202 - SU 25 SW 181) (2). Excavations by W.C Lukis (Barrow WCL 1) recovered probable beaker and urn sherds (3). Cropmarks of overlapping ditches visible. (4)
Barrow A1: Collingbourne Ducis 8a, a bowl barrow under plough. Mound 0.4 metres high, ditch only visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs as a soil mark. Surveyed at 1:2500. (5-6)
Originally recorded as Collingbourne Ducis 8a by Goddard. (7)
A low bowl or double barrow , reduced by ploughing , ditch just visible. The mound is now 22 metres in diameter but originally was 28 metres. (8) |
