More information : TA 2115 4723/2117 4718. Anti-tank cubes. This single row of 13 reinforced concrete anti-tank cubes was positioned along the bottom of the cliff edge. They were intended to channel ememy forces into heavily defended areas of the coast. The site was plotted from aerial photographs by the Fortress Studies Group, but when it was visited in 1992 by the FSG during the Holderness Survey they found that the site was completely destroyed. The monument is also visible as upstanding structures on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. Due to coastal erosion the monument no longer survives in situ. (2)
