Summary : A monastic timber-framed aisled barn situated within the outer precinct of Titchfield Abbey. The timber frame is of oak and measures 50 metres by 15 metres. The dendrochronology felling dates and construction for the timber frame is spring 1407 and winter 1408/9, with timbers within the north porch dating to 1560-62. Brickwork was added to the building during the 18th and 19th century.

The Tithe Barn at Fern Hill Farm is C 15 and formerly belonged to Titchfield Abbey [SU 50 NW 3]. the west side is of stone rubble incorporating some very thick brickwork. Half-hipped old tiled roof with 2 hipped wagon entances opposite each other. It is aisled and of 8 bays. Grade I. (2,3)

The abbey barn is not strictly a tithe barn. The roof has been dendrochronologically dated to a felling date of 1408-9. (4)
