Summary : Site of a Roman villa at Wycomb, indicated by surface finds of brick, pottery, flue tile, slate and tesserae; interpreted as a courtyard or winged corridor type. A Bronze Age arrowhead was also found.
More information : SK 782 256 A Roman site found by fieldwalking has produced sherds of Samian, colour coated and grey wares, many tesserae, tile and slate. The shape of the scatter suggests a villa of courtyard or winged corridor type. A Bronze Age arrowhead was also found in the same field. (1) LE 79 Listed as the possible site of a villa. (2)
