Full description
1. Mound located where the A10 Cambridge to Ely road crosses the Old West River S of Stretham. Possibly a flanked redoubt but Taylor suggests that if so, its builders were ignorant of the principles of fortification underlying such a construction. Certainly the burghers of Stretham claimed the costs of digging gravel and constructing a bulwark. Mound much altered by gravel workings now.
2. A badly damaged raised mound may be the remains of a Civil War flanked redoubt.
