Full description

1. Homestead moat at Grange Farm.

O2, Identified by officers of the Nature Conservancy, Monk's Wood as belonging to a grange of Sawtry Abbey. Besides the moat there are remains of two ponds and connecting ditches. In the NE is a headland with ridge and furrow and beyond this to the SW is a disturbed area, probably quarrying. The present farm is an insignificant building.

O3, Bungalow built in 1980, when c 12 skeletons were noted by builder but infilled without record. Many carved stones in the farmyard.

O4, The E arm has been filled in. Pond looks recently made. There is no bungalow to be seen here but a new 2 storey house.
