Full description

1. Sawtry HEFA test pit 9 (2014) was located at Church Street. Quite few different types of pottery wares were recovered expanding from the medieval period through to the Victorian wares. Lyveden 'B' Ware, Midland Blackware and Staffordshire Slipware are among the different types of wares. The mass produced Victorian wares dominated the assemblage.
