Full description
1. An Iron Age/Roman rectilinear enclosure is visible as a cropmark on air photographs, at TL 1291 7493. The enclosure is formed by a circuit of ditch and measures approximately 20m x 24m.
2-3. The rectilinear enclosure described above in (1) appears to be part of a larger, linear, settlement, which is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs centred approximately at TL 12872 74923. A line of sub-rectangular, overlapping, ditched enclosures extend south west to north east, connected by a linear, ditched, trackway. The features are visible across two field boundaries. These features were recorded from EH Reconnaissance aerial photographs of 2011.
