Full description
1. A linear settlement site, which may be later prehistoric to medieval in date, is visible as faint cropmarks on aerial photographs to the north of Ede’s Lodge, Sawtry, centred at TL 18613 82486. The cropmarks consist of at least three sub-rectangular enclosures on a south west-north east alignment. A possible fourth enclosure overlaps the northernmost of the three. A faint linear, ditched, trackway appears to connect the enclosures. These features were recorded from EH Reconnaissance aerial photographs of 2011.
