R1, ring ditch and parallel tracks; (R Palmer12/09/1983 CUCAP APs K17 U 183 BCE 6 used
O1, Ring ditch visible on CUCAP APs (VI 16). Nothing visible on RAF APs. See also RN 02546

4-7. A ring ditch visible as a cropmark on air photographs. Although included by Harding and Lee in their henge gazetteer, they considered such an interpretation unlikely. Although the locational detail offered by Harding and Lee is rather imprecise, this would appear to be the ring ditch excavated by the Central Excavation Unit during work focused on the Godmanchester Neolithic enclosure and cursus (TL 27 SE 80 and 81 respectively) in 1988-91. Located circa 100 metres north of the point where the cursus terminates against the enclosure, the ring ditch was slightly oval, measuring 37 metres by 34 metres.. A low turf mound circa 26 metres across had been surounded by the ditch and a berm. No features were located beneath the centre of the mound,although a small rectangular pit lay just to the west. The mound was also cut by a number of irregular features, some of them definitely tree-throw holes
