Full description
1. Medieval seal dug up in 1868 near Anglesey Priory - oval in form, possibly originally gilt, portrayal of St Lawrence with his gridiron - inscription SAVNTTE LAVRENCII. Probably its owner was Master Lawrence de St Nicholas, a great benefactor to the house. See RN 06866 for full list of cross-references.
