Full description

1, TL/1371/7711 Long mound.
O1, TL/1390/7685 Long mound 360 ft x 51 ft ploughed down 08/11/1945.
O2, indicated sites have been ploughed many times and there are no remains to be seen. Mr. Pentelow of Buckworth, one time owner of the land, said that the late Dr Garrood dug some trial excavations but no finds were made.
R2. Recent aerial photographic interpretation has identified this as a pillow mound, or mediaeval rabbit warren.
