Full description
On 14th February 1376 Joan de Arundelle had licence to celebrate in the chapel in her manor of Lanherne and in 1385 she had a general licence for all her chapels in the Diocese of Exeter and the right of choosing her confessors. Henderson speculates that the chapel at Lanherne would have been a building of some magnificence, for the Arundells were the most powerful Cornish family during the C15 and C16. All traces of the building have since disappeared (b1).
