Full description
Excavated Roman coin finds from Nanstallon are all of 1st century AD date. The coins found include two republican denarii (known to have been in circulation in the 1st century AD), one of Cassius and Lentulus, dated to 42 BC and a denarius of Mark Anthony, dated to 32 - 31 BC, a denarius of Augustus is dated to 19 - 16, also found were a denarius of Tiberius, and three Neronian coins (b1). Three coins of Vespian are recorded from Nanstallon in 1900 (b2).
