Full description

Extant Post Medieval dovecote at Lamorran, in the rectory grounds (b2). A circular feature is recorded at this location on the 1st and 2nd Edition OS 1:2500 maps. Henderson (b1) suggested that the dovecote, made of stone and mentioned in a 1727 document, was not extant, but it is listed as extant by Gilbert and Robertson in (b2). It is now confirmed as extant, with excellent decorative carved granite features, although overgrown with threat from plant growth.
