Full description

The settlement of Ninnes is first recorded in 1314 when it is spelt "Insula" (b2). The name is Cornish and contains the element enys meaning 'island' (b3). Ninnis is now represented by the subdivision of Lower Ninnes, and is still occupied (b1).
