Full description

The settlement of Retallack is first recorded in the early 13th century, when it is spelt 'Retaluc' (b3). The name is Cornish and contains the elements rid 'ford' and either hal 'moor', 'marsh' or tal 'brow', 'front', 'end' (b4). Retallack is still occupied (b2).
