Full description

The OS in 1961 surveyed at 1:2500 a feature to the north of the enclosure (30756.2) at Chykembro. A probable hut circle, it is of similar construction to the hut (30756.3) attached to the enclosure, but it is in poor condition with a possible entrance on the east (h1). Russell in 1971 lists the extant remains of a large hut circle (b5). The OS who revisited the site in 1975 record that the feature cannot be positively identified as a hut circle (h2). Weatherhill in 1982 records a round house in poor condition, 7.5m in diameter with earth and stone banks up to 0.6m high, with an east facing entrance (h3, b6).
