Full description

The second phase of occupation at Gwithian, site GT, excavated in 1956 and 1957, comprises a single house integrated with the surrounding enclosure bank. The hut is of irregular shape, measuring approximately 9.0m east-west by 7.6m north-south, internally, with walls up to 1.5m thick. The OS surveyed the site at 1:2500 in 1962 and recorded no visible remains of the hut although the excavation is clearly visible within the northern end of the enclosure.
