Full description

Russell records a possible barrow or hut circle in Trencrom Castle. Halliwell recorded "the distinct traces of a large stone and earth circular barrow". The OS describe the feature as a circular depression 1.3m deep surrounded by a circle of large stones including some set on edge in a bank of earth with a maximum height of 0.5m. It may be a relatively modern excavated feature (h1). The monument is included in the Schedule.
