Full description

An irregular field system with small fields defined by heavy stone lynchets and stony banks, some with modern drystone walls running along them. Planned at 1:1250 by the CCRA and the National Trust in 1982 (h2, b6-8). Visited by Herring in 1986 (h3, b9). It is clearly attached to the north of the main Iron Age/Romano-British radial field system 33201. Only partially re-used by later farmers so most boundaries and internal features are well preserved, making this part of one the most important prehistoric field systems in West Cornwall (b9). Suggested as dating from the Middle Iron Age using optically stimulated luminescence dating on similar samples elsewhere in Bosigran (10).
