Full description

The settlement of Mill Farm (33244) contains four enclosures, recorded on all maps from 1834 onwards (b3-b4). Planned at 1:500 by CCRA/NT in 1982 (h1, b5-b7) and visited in 1986 by Herring (h2, b8). The walling is drystone, stone face and single stone, all are typical post medieval forms. The western and south east enclosures open onto the lane (33244.11). The central enclosure appears to be the forms of the buildings and the north east enclosure may be a mowhay (b8).
