Full description

An apparent circular earth mound is extant on the lower western slope of Chapel Carn Brea. It is approx 11m in diameter, 1.2m high and is flat topped. The mound appears to be raised above the surrounding ground level although this may be deceptive through the cuttings of hollow-ways in the vicinity. This feature along with other earthworks in the area, requires further survey work (h1, b2).

Possibly representing a Prehistoric hut circle, although perhaps more likely the remains of a Bronze Age barrow associated with the Neolithic/Bronze Age barrow cemetery in the vicinity (3).
