Full description
A sub-circular stony mound approx 6.0m diameter and 0.3m high is located on the summit plateau of Chapel Carn Brea. Two large pits have been dug into it, resembling moorstone quarrying. Fieldwork suggests that this is not moorstone quarrying but the remains of a small prehistoric cairn that has been trenched by antiquarians (h1). Further details are given by Thomas (b2).
