Full description
A granite quarry situated on the south edge of the summit plateau of Kit Hill, which was surveyed as part of CAU Kit Hill survey (h1). Charge holes in the NW section of the quarry are of circular plan and some of the splitting was done using larger diameter tare and feathers, implying an early C19. The SE part of the quarry is deeper and later, with triangular charge holes. Full details are given in the Kit Hill survey report (b2). It is visible on air photographs (p1) and was plotted as part of the NMP.
