Full description
Traces of four timber barrack structures were found in the eastern half of Nanstallon Roman fort, two in the 'retentura' and two in the 'praetentura'. Only the latter two were investigated. All were rectangular blocks 32m long and between 7.3m and 8.5m wide with centurion's quarters at the east ends (h1, b1).
