Full description

A leat taken from the Porthmeor stream ran along the north east slopes of Hannibal's Carn and Carn Galva to fill a pair of rab cut reservoirs storing water for the stamping mill at Bosigran. The leat was planned at 1:1250 by CCRA and the NT in 1982 (h1). It is 50-100cm in width and 20-70cm deep; it lacks any downslope bank over most of its length, but where one exists it is substantial (up to 1.8m wide and 0.6m high).
