Full description

Immediately south of the upper, southern dressing floor of Bosigran stamps (33247) is this raised spalling floor recorded on the 1st Edition 1:2500 OS map of 1876 and planned at 1:200 by the National Trust in 1982 (h1, b3-5). Visited by Herring in 1986 and part exposed by the National Trust management works drawn at 1:10 (h2, b6). The floor is 24m long by 10m, revetted to the north, south and east. The part exposed by the Trust was well paved with large slabs of granite. A low heap of unspalled tin ore was left by the last dressers at the west end of the floor (b6).
