Full description

Russell in 1971 lists an extant barrow on Mulfra Hill comprising a cairn of stones (b3). It is recorded by Edmonds in 1857 (b1) and was excavated by WC Borlase in 1871 when he found charcoal and a pebble (b2). The barrow was surveyed at 1:2500 by the OS in 1960 (h1) and 1975 and measures 11m in diameter and 0.9m high (h2). It is marked on the OS map of 1982 (b4).
